Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in students' lives as an onsite Physical Therapist working under a full-year contract, just outside Elk Grove, CA. This opportunity offers a consistent, full-time schedule—37.5 hours per week—allowing you to foster progress and provide vital services within a supportive educational environment. With an immediate start, your expertise will help shape the school year for students who need individualized PT support.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current, valid Physical Therapist license for California Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, educators, and families Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy services to students, following IEP mandates Develop creative, individualized treatment plans to promote students' physical development and mobility within the school setting Conduct assessments and progress evaluations using standardized tools Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support classroom participation and safe mobility Document services and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in compliance with district and state requirements Participate in IEP meetings and offer recommendations for adaptations or equipment when needed Embark on a rewarding school-year assignment within a collaborative team dedicated to student success. This full-time, onsite role provides the consistency and professional fulfillment you seek, enhancing students' independence and participation in school activities. to start as soon as possible and make a direct impact supporting students' growth and well-being this academic year! Compensation for this position ranges from $48.20 to $68.20. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
