Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity providing physical therapy services in a supportive educational setting! This full-time contract position offers 37.5 hours per week, supporting K-8 students district wide as maternity leave coverage until February 2027—with potential extension through the full school year. In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to deliver exceptional school-based PT services. Your expertise will help students overcome physical challenges and thrive in their educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in California Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric PT role preferred Demonstrated knowledge of IEP processes and goal-setting Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to travel between district schools as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Assess K-8 students' physical therapy needs across multiple school sites Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals Collaborate with educators and families to integrate physical therapy strategies into the classroom Document progress, adjust interventions as required, and attend relevant meetings Provide direct and consultative PT services using evidence-based approaches Support students in achieving optimal participation in academic and school activities
