Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity as an onsite Physical Therapist supporting students for the full academic year. This full-time, contract position offers 37.5 hours each week with an ASAP start, providing the chance to collaborate with a dedicated school community near Galt, CA. Desired Qualifications:
Valid and current Physical Therapy license in California Experience or interest in pediatric and school-based settings Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families Organizational skills to maintain clear documentation and manage a varied caseload Commitment to following school guidelines and individualized education plans (IEPs) Flexibility to adapt treatment plans as student needs evolve
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' needs for physical therapy services Develop and implement targeted therapeutic interventions within the school setting Document student progress, prepare reports, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support students' academic and functional goals Educate and train staff or caregivers on appropriate techniques to assist students Support students in achieving independence and participation in school activities Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to school-based physical therapy This contract role allows you to expand your expertise and make a meaningful contribution in a supportive and collaborative educational environment.
