Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our vibrant team at Blackwood Physical Therapy and Wellness Center.

This full-time position centers on outpatient orthopedic care, where you will work directly with patients to restore mobility, enhance function, and improve their overall quality of life.

Our state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot facility is equipped with the latest technology and resources to support our patients in their recovery journey.

We specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation, providing personalized care primarily to patients with private medical insurance.

Work EnvironmentAt Blackwood, you will find yourself in a dynamic and professional atmosphere alongside a team comprising two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA).The work setting is designed to promote teamwork and open communication, encouraging input and collaboration on treatment plans.

The typical work schedule for this position is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough assessments to identify each patient's objectives and requirements for optimal recovery.

Manage a patient caseload effectively, averaging one patient per hour while providing dedicated attention and care.

Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based techniques and a variety of therapeutic modalities.

Utilize manual therapy skills to develop and execute tailored exercise regimens that enhance strength, flexibility, and mobility.

Serve as a source of motivation for patients, offering encouragement and support throughout their therapeutic journey.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient treatment.

Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment effectiveness through electronic medical record (EMR) systems like WebPT.Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure continuous improvement and goal achievement.

Educate patients about injury prevention, self-management strategies, and wellness promotion to foster long-term health.

Patient Population / Client FocusYour primary focus will be on orthopedic patients seeking rehabilitation after surgery or injury, as well as those managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

You will work closely with each patient to understand their specific challenges, tailoring interventions to support their individual needs.

Your role is crucial in providing quality care and using your expertise to minimize the reliance on medications or surgical solutions.

QualificationsA Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.

Current and valid certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California.

No history of board actions or disciplinary measures against your license.

Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a thorough understanding of orthopedic conditions.

Ability to create effective exercise regimens tailored to patient needs and conditions, improving overall outcomes.

Familiarity with EMR platforms, specifically WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient care process.

Preferred ExperiencePrevious experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.

Proven ability to develop robust patient relationships to facilitate effective therapy adherence.

Experience in collaborative practice with various healthcare disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
