We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for a Full Time role working in a clinical setting. As a member of the health care team, the Physical Therapist provides physical therapy assistance and will:
Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with injuries, disabilities or medical conditions that affect movement and physical function.
Assists the director and organization in developing level of care standards to be used, as a quality of service measurement that will enable the organization to meet external accrediting requirements (i.e. AAAHC).Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and diagnoses. Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other evidence-based interventions. Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care meetings. Participate in provider meetings and attend organizational events. Other duties as assignedWhat you need:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program required.
Current California Physical Therapist license.
A minimum of 6 months experience as a PT preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills as demonstrated through the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments within the MACT organization. Experience with automated data systems and EHR, NextGen preferred.
Supports an ethical standard, which complies with a code of conduct free of conflicts of interest. Current BLS/ALS certificateMust pass Occupational Health Screening.
Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system.
Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier).The position requires an awareness and keen appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs and the ability at all times to meet and deal effectively in contacts with Indian health organizations which requires tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature.
