What Your Day Will Look Like As a Physical Therapist, you will: Evaluate patients with a variety of outpatient diagnoses and functional limitations. Develop individualized, goal-oriented plans of care. Provide one-on-one treatment sessions lasting approximately 30 to 55 minutes. Use therapeutic exercise, manual interventions, patient education, and other appropriate treatment techniques. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as outcomes evolve. Complete clear and timely clinical documentation. Educate patients and families on recovery, prevention, and long-term health. Communicate with referring providers and other members of the care team when appropriate. Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and support staff. Maintain professional, ethical, and regulatory standards of care.
