In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Your expertise will ensure that each home's HVAC system operates smoothly, providing reliable comfort and energy efficiency. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, and ventilation equipment in residential settings following schematics and HVAC design plans. Perform system troubleshooting and repairs on existing HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. Conduct electrical diagnostics and mechanical systems repair using hand tools, ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment. Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes, repairs, and maintenance activities for each customer site. Collaborate with customers to explain system operation, answer questions, and provide guidance on system maintenance and care. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations related to refrigerants and electrical systems. Assist with building automation systems integration and perform routine HVAC system maintenance to prolong equipment lifespan. Skills Proven construction experience with a solid understanding of mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation. Service technician experience with refrigeration, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration). Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret HVAC design plans effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of electrical systems including electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex HVAC components. Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) for controlling HVAC operations efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver requirements preferred. EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications in HVAC or electrical systems are advantageous.
