We embrace the bio-psycho-social model of care, focusing on healing the pelvic floor through integrative techniques that nurture physical, emotional, and mental well-being. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pelvic Health Physical or Occupational Therapist to join our practice. We work outside of an insurance based model to provide the highest quality care and see no more than 7 patients/day with 15 minutes between each appointment.
Position Overview:
As a Pelvic Health Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating a diverse range of patients with pelvic health concerns, including but not limited to incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, and postpartum recovery. You will work with patients across the gender spectrum and provide a safe and supportive experience for healing. Utilizing a holistic approach, you will integrate traditional physical therapy techniques with mindfulness, breath-work, and body awareness strategies. The ideal candidate will be someone who believes in a whole-person approach to healing and enjoys collaborating within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations to assess pelvic floor function and overall health. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, adapting them as necessary based on patient progress. Provide patient and partner education on pelvic health, self-care strategies, and exercises. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a well-rounded, effective approach to patient care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans. Build professional relationships in the pelvic health community to support a network of complimentary providers caring for shared patients. Continuously enhance professional knowledge through training and professional development opportunities. Schedule and communicate with patients regarding scheduling as needed.
Qualifications:
Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT, MPT, or equivalent) or Occupational Therapy (MSOT or OTD) . Specialized training or certification in pelvic health physical therapy (e.g., Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification [PRPC]). Previous experience in pelvic health therapy is preferred, but we are open to candidates who have a strong interest and background in treating pelvic health conditions. Understanding of holistic health principles and mind-body connection and the nervous system. Compassionate, patient-focused, and collaborative approach to care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism.
