1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification. Details Acute care hospital setting within a combined
PT/OT/ST
department 189-bed facility including ICU, telemetry, medical, surgical, and mother/baby units Average hospital census of 150 patients Patient population includes adult and geriatric inpatients with orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary conditions Outpatient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric patients 10-hour shifts scheduled Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30am to 7:00pm Floating required to inpatient acute hospital units Uses Cerner (upgraded version) for charting Works alongside a lead inpatient therapist, therapy supervisor, and Director of Rehab Services Department includes PT, OT, ST, and therapy aide staff across inpatient and outpatient settings Requirements Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required Current BLS certification (AHA) required Active state or compact PT license required if applicable Cerner EMR experience preferred Must be able to work 10-hour shifts including weekend rotations Driver's license copy required for consideration Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility Additional Information General department orientation provided with skills checklist and assigned clinician Facility holds JCAHO Stroke certification (NIH certified) and TJP certification for elective hip and knee procedures Participates in early mobility program including ventilated patients No holiday coverage required for this position Scrub requirement: burgundy polo or long sleeve shirt with black pants and shoes Located near Yosemite, Monterey Bay, San Francisco, and the Sierra Nevada range First-time travelers will be considered for this role
