Competitive salary and full benefits. Flexible hours/schedule. Our client is a stable organization founded in 1996 and has 15 facilities in CA. They offer a wide spectrum of land-based therapeutic treatments including sport, traditional, and acupuncture therapy. Aquatic therapy is also offered. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate with excellent interpersonal skills. Prefer to have at least one year or more of PT experience as a licensed PT in CA. New grads are welcome! Aquatic therapy is a plus but not mandatory and will train. Job Description Consult patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move about Develop an individualized treatment plan Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition Use hands-on therapy such as massage to ease patients' pain and provide stimulation to promote healing Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly Advise patients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process Responsibilities for Physical Therapist Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice as well as state standards. Develop and implement a Plan of Treatment for each patient based on initial and ongoing evaluations including short- and long-term goals, collaboration demands of other staff members and required patient and caregiver involvement. Evaluate mobility, strength and current level of patient function, while setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to patient abilities and realistically attainable. Document and report patient progress to patient, patient caregivers and loved ones, facility staff and healthcare professionals involved in ongoing treatment/care of patients. Develop a plan for patients following completion of their Plan of Treatment with appropriate in-home care services. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, etc. Assist other facility staff members as needed to provide care and create a clean, orderly and effective environment for rehabilitation and physical therapy.
