Work Environment This position is based onsite, providing a home care facility that allows for a more personalized, one-on-one interaction with patients. The clinic operates in a supportive and collaborative environment, where physical therapists work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals. Our working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a sustainable work-life balance for all employees. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments to identify each patient's goals and requirements, developing tailored treatment plans to address their specific conditions. Manage a patient caseload, typically seeing one individual per hour to ensure focused and effective therapy sessions. Implement a variety of treatment modalities aimed at enhancing patients' range of motion and overall function, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises. Develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate multiple treatment techniques tailored to individual patient needs, aiming for optimal recovery outcomes. Motivate and educate patients about their rehabilitation process, encouraging lifestyle changes that promote strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Keep clear and thorough documentation of patient care services provided, monitoring progress and adapting care plans as necessary. Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness and maintain communication with patients regarding their progress. Collaborate with other health professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care that includes consulting and referral as needed. Focus on reducing the reliance on medications and explore non-surgical alternatives wherever possible. Engage in continuous professional development through attending workshops, training sessions, and staying updated with the latest advances in physical therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clinic specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, catering to a diverse patient population including athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals recovering from surgery, and those managing chronic pain. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will play a key role in devising personalized treatment strategies that empower patients to regain their independence and improve their physical capabilities. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred. A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California. Demonstrated competency in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development. No history of board or disciplinary actions against your professional license, ensuring an unblemished record. Strong proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to document patient interactions and treatment outcomes. Preferred Experience Ideal candidates will have prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, showcasing a proven track record of managing a high patient load while delivering quality, individualized care.
