1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and Epic charting experience preferred. Details Acute Care Hospital and Outpatient Clinic work settings Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Epic charting system preferred Patient population includes cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, neurology, oncology, and orthopedic cases Utilizes a wide range of equipment including Hoyer lifts, specialty beds, walkers, and mobility devices May involve treatment for conditions such as post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal conditions, joint replacements, and traumatic brain injury Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent experience required BLS certification required CA state license required (License required if applicable) Manual Therapy certification preferred Experience with patient assessment, documentation, and care planning required Experience with adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and therapeutic modalities preferred Skill in home exercise program development and patient/family education Additional Information Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge planning for acute care and outpatient patients Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities within the same health system Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable setting Must disclose any prior work history with the health system, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must not be within 50 miles of the facility Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius First-time travelers are not considered for this position
