PHYSICAL THERAPIST

- Riverside East, CA Under the general direction of the Clinic Director, the Physical Therapist will evaluate therapy needs. Develop and implement Physical Therapy program for assigned patients. Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice as well as state standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement Plan of Treatment on a consistent schedule and adjust this schedule and plan according to patient progress. Evaluate mobility, strength and current level of patient function, while setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to patient abilities and realistically attainable. Develop a plan for patients following completion of their Plan of Treatment Assist other facility staff members as needed to provide care and create a clean, orderly and effective environment for rehabilitation and physical therapy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Sound judgment in applying academic knowledge and clinical experience Providing direct and indirect Physical Therapy patient care. Organize time and set priorities appropriately, demonstrating flexibility. Establish rapport with MDs, adjustors, case managers, patients, families, professionals, co-workers, and the public. Assume responsibility and uphold decisions of supervising therapists Lift and move patients and equipment using sound judgment Integrity and discretion in all job-related matters. Attitude of excellence in providing quality patient care Demonstrate integrity and discretion in all job-related matters

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Graduate of a school of Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association, or a foreign-trained equivalent. Licensed by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance or accepted for licensure within six months from date of employment.
