The incumbent is responsible for overall planning, training, supervision, evaluation and day-to-day operation of the Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy Department. Provides treatment in the areas of motor function and development, mobility and ambulation skills. The Physical Therapist I is responsible for the provision of Physical Therapy consultation, evaluation and services to clients as ordered by physician. Provide back-up services for those individuals whose primary therapist is absent from this facility. Provide treatment in the areas of motor function and development, mobility and ambulation skills. Also assess the need for adaptive equipment, mobility aids, seating and positioning systems and therapy intervention as needed. Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three (3) percent in exchange for five (5) hours per month of the Personal Leave. This position is not eligible for telework, this position is in person only. Temporary state housing may be available for those relocating to fill hard to recruit positions. Housing assignments and rates will be determined in accordance with Department policy, operational priorities, and applicable labor agreements.
