Inpatient, Swing bed, Outpatient, Cardio and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings available What You'll Do Key Responsibilities Administer and direct the administration of physical agents, rehabilitation, and therapeutic treatments under physician direction Review patient diagnoses, evaluate conditions, develop treatment plans, perform discharge planning, and complete re-evaluations Educate and prepare patients for treatments & monitor patients throughout treatments Apply appropriate physical agents, therapeutic, ambulatory and mobility procedures while explaining treatment processes to patients Document treatments and provide updates to physicians Provide age-appropriate care for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients based on knowledge of growth and development principles Assess and interpret patient status data to identify age-specific needs and provide care according to departmental policies What We Are Looking For Education, Experience, Licensure and Certifications Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program meeting licensure requirements (DPT) Current Texas Physical Therapist license required 3+ years of licensed Physical Therapist experience preferred Relevant experience preferred; candidates with varying experience levels are welcome Current CPR certification required Additional Skills and Attributes Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to promote positive relationships with staff, patients, and visitors Dependable and punctual work habits Ability to sit, stand, and walk intermittently, with occasional physical exertion during treatments Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and reach Ability to push and pull up to 300 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs when treating, transferring, or supporting patients Candidates must successfully pass a standard background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
