Job Description
Job Overview The Lead Physical Therapist is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic setting while providing clinical leadership and supervision to the therapy team. The position combines direct patient treatment with oversight of clinical operations, staff mentoring, quality assurance, and program development. The Lead Physical Therapist serves as a clinical resource, reports to the clinic director, and helps drive patient outcomes, staff engagement, and clinic growth. Duties Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic injuries, develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and best practices, and progress treatment plans appropriately to maximize functional outcomes and patient satisfaction Supervise and mentor physical therapy staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and professional standards Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including progress notes, treatment updates, and care plans Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and health maintenance strategies. Communicate effectively with referring physicians, employers, case managers, and other healthcare providers Maintain productivitiy standards while ensuring high quality patient care. Assist with onboarding, traing, and competency development of clinical staff Participate in quality improvement projects and program development. Monitor key performance indicators including patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, productivity, and therapy staff performance.
