This position offers minimal, flexible hours, making it ideal for a professional seeking supplemental or part-time engagement. As the primary provider, you'll focus on delivering expert consultation and personalized care—without the additional responsibility of supervising a PTA. Your expertise will help students reach their individual potential, whether through hands-on therapy sessions or by advising staff and families. Each interaction drives positive changes in student mobility and daily functioning, directly contributing to their academic success and overall well-being.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with valid credentials in Connecticut Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong consultation and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and students Ability to work independently and adapt services to a variety of student needs Commitment to maintaining compliance and documentation standards
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and create tailored intervention plans Deliver consultative services to school staff, providing strategies to aid in student progress Provide minimal direct therapy for select students at HVRHS, as needed Monitor and evaluate student progress, updating goals and strategies accordingly Maintain timely and thorough documentation of all services provided Enjoy the autonomy and flexibility that comes with a consultative, low-hour schedule—perfect for maintaining work-life balance or supplementing other commitments.
