Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role that lets you make a meaningful difference in students' lives across a dynamic educational environment near Hockessin, DE. This contract opportunity offers a flexible schedule with the possibility to work full-time or part-time, Monday through Friday, for the 2026-2027 school year. In this position, you'll serve students within a school building and extend critical physical therapy services to those who are medically homebound, creating an inclusive and supportive learning experience for all.
What We're Looking For:
Valid Delaware Physical Therapist license (required for consideration) Experience in school-based physical therapy or pediatric settings preferred Readiness to support students with a range of physical therapy needs, including homebound cases and in-school services Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and assignments within the district Excellent communication and documentation skills Dedication to collaborative work with educators, families, and other professionals
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct in-school and homebound physical therapy services in accordance with individualized education programs (IEPs) Assess students' physical therapy needs and provide timely interventions Develop and implement treatment plans aimed at maximizing student participation and independence Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support Maintain accurate and thorough documentation and progress reports Adapt services as caseload fluctuates throughout the academic year Travel between school sites and homes within the district as needed Working with us means contributing to a system that values both your expertise and the well-being of the students you serve.
