Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract A specialized opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide focused, onsite support within a school setting in Laurel, DE. This role centers on delivering direct therapy to a single 6th-grade student, helping to achieve clearly defined physical therapy goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized physical therapy services tailored to the student's specific needs. Implement and monitor clear treatment goals to ensure measurable progress. Collaborate with school staff and caregivers to support the student's overall wellbeing. Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress. Deliver services onsite, ensuring consistency and continuity of care.
Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with relevant school-based experience preferred. Ability to work effectively with pediatric populations, particularly school-aged children. Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators and family members. Organized and detail-oriented approach to goal setting and progress tracking. Commitment to onsite service delivery during scheduled hours.
Assignment Details:
Location:
Laurel, Delaware (onsite requirement). Contract position starting approximately April 6, 2026 (dates may vary). Up to 5 hours per week, providing focused attention on one student's therapy needs.
