Position Overview Opti Flex Therapeutics is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This full-time, onsite role provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with patients of all ages, helping them recover from orthopedic injuries, surgical procedures, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Work Environment This role is based in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Orlando, Florida. As a physical therapist at our facility, you will work alongside a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our schedule allows for flexibility, with typical hours spanning Monday to Friday, enabling you to create a work-life balance that suits your needs. Key Responsibilities As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Opti Flex Therapeutics, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations related to orthopedic injuries or surgeries. Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that utilize a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular reeducation, and modalities to promote healing and recovery. Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously to ensure clear communication within the healthcare team and with patients and their families. Adapting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments, patient feedback, and the latest clinical guidelines. Providing education to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatment options, and the importance of adherence to rehabilitation protocols. Equipping patients with assistive devices and training them on their usage to facilitate mobility and enhance independence in daily activities. Engaging in continuous professional development through attending workshops, conferences, and collaborating in peer discussions to stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, such as joint replacements or repair procedures, and those with chronic pain, sports injuries, or post-traumatic rehabilitation needs. You will play a crucial role in monitoring rehabilitation progress and adjusting therapeutic strategies to optimize patient recovery times and outcomes. Understanding the specific concerns and motivations of each patient will be essential in tailoring your approach and achieving the best results. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required. You must possess a current state license to practice physical therapy in Florida. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications is required to ensure efficient documentation and reporting. A commitment to professional growth, demonstrated by a willingness to engage in additional training and education. Preferred Experience While prior experience in an orthopedic setting is beneficial, it is not mandatory.
