9609068-33914 Job Description A rewarding opportunity awaits for a qualified Physical Therapist to serve students across multiple campuses in the vibrant Fort Myers area. This full-time contract position supports Pre K-12 students, offering a chance to make a lasting impact as you travel between school sites within the district. The assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through May 27, 2027, providing a stable schedule of up to 37.5 hours per week onsite.
Key Qualifications:
Completion of a Masters or Doctorate level PT program Active Physical Therapist license from the Florida Department of Health Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is highly valued Ability to manage an itinerant schedule across several schools Familiarity with documentation, treatment planning, and IEP collaboration in a school setting Successful completion of Florida fingerprint clearance and ability to secure or transfer the necessary JLA badge
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students ranging from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade, adapting to different school environments Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to support students' educational and functional needs Provide consultation and collaboration with teachers, school staff, and families Maintain detailed records and participate in IEP meetings Support students in achieving mobility, motor, and postural goals within the school setting As an itinerant professional, you will play a pivotal role supporting diverse student needs throughout your assignment. The role is strictly onsite, fostering strong relationships with students and colleagues and ensuring hands-on therapeutic delivery.
