Work Environment This position operates onsite, primarily in the homes of our clients, allowing you the opportunity to work closely with patients in their comfortable environments. Our team is designed to be collaborative, emphasizing effective communication and teamwork, as we partner with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate optimal care experiences. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed physical assessments to create individualized therapy plans that address each client's unique needs and goals. Implement and oversee therapeutic interventions, which may include exercise regimens, manual therapy techniques, and the use of modalities to improve strength, mobility, and functional independence. Continuously assess patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as required based on their development and feedback. Conduct educational sessions with clients and their families to instruct them on appropriate home exercise programs and techniques for maintaining physical health and preventing further injury. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic, well-rounded care approaches. Maintain comprehensive, accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and compliance with state and federal regulations and professional standards. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will primarily serve an orthopedic patient population, focusing on individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or musculoskeletal disorders. Our clients largely comprise the geriatric demographic, requiring you to be attentive to their specific needs, preferences, and functional goals, ensuring they receive the utmost quality of care. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is highly preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and the broader healthcare team. Proficient organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused care environment. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy, with specific expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation.
