Key Responsibilities As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will engage in a variety of essential tasks that contribute significantly to our patient care goals.Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, ensuring a complete understanding of their medical history and rehabilitation needs. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on research-driven methodologies that address each patient's unique circumstances. Applying a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, modalities, and exercise prescriptions, to foster recovery and improve functional capabilities. Educating patients and their caregivers about treatment protocols and facilitating their active participation in the recovery process. Continuously monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes. Exhibiting excellent customer service, enhancing patient experience through clear communication and empathetic engagement. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the effectiveness of treatment strategies and ensure comprehensive care. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a varied patient population, focusing primarily on orthopedic conditions. You will treat patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal issues, as well as children facing developmental challenges and neurologic patients requiring specialized intervention. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited APTA or CAPTE-approved program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred. A valid State License in Physical Therapy. Basic Life Support Certification by the American Heart Association. Proficient written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues. Strong computer and word-processing skills to document patient information accurately. A demonstrated ability to build genuine relationships with patients, aiming to help them achieve and exceed their rehabilitation goals. A positive, energetic spirit that fosters community involvement and relationship-building. Preferred Experience While we welcome new graduates, preference will be given to candidates with experience in orthopedic, pediatric, or sports medicine settings. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a commitment to ongoing professional development are highly valued.
