Hughes Therapy Group is thrilled to be looking for additional motivated therapists to provide Pediatric Physical Therapy Services in a School-based Setting for the Broward County School Board. I am the owner of Hughes Therapy Group and have held a continuous contract with the Broward County School Board for well over a decade - and once again we were just awarded the brand new contract. Full Time General Job Responsibilities:
Diagnostic evaluations, Screenings (PT's) Small group, in class or individual therapy with identified students, Record keeping for student attendance for therapy, Preparation of therapy plans, Completion of progress reports and therapy notes. Attendance and participation in required multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP meetings/ 504 Plans Preparation of paperwork related to eligibility and discontinuation/dismissal meetings, Participation in school-based response to intervention activities, Attendance at approved District in-service meetings, as requested, Consulting with parents, school/District staff, physicians, medical equipment vendors, ordering appropriate adaptive equipment School related duties, as requested, and Supervision of PTA, as applicable Flexibility to drive to schools as needed access and general knowledge of technology applicant must have a current license to practice
PT / PTA
license in the state of Florida Physical Therapists are members of a multidisciplinary school team that ensures FAPE which stands for free and appropriate education for all students including students with disabilities to prepare them for further education, employment and independent living.
