Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for a dedicated physical therapist eager to make a tangible impact in a school-based setting. Serve students near Duluth, GA, supporting their growth and well-being through innovative and compassionate physical therapy. This position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year and is full-time, with a commitment of 40 hours per week.
Desired Qualifications:
Hold current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT) Prior experience in school-based physical therapy preferred; background in pediatric or healthcare PT a plus Strong knowledge of compliance standards in an educational environment Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents Flexible and adaptable, thriving in dynamic school environments Demonstrated documentation and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' eligibility for PT services and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver targeted interventions and therapy sessions, supporting students in accessing curriculum and activities Collaborate with special education teams to set and monitor progress on goals Educate and counsel families and school staff on strategies and adaptations that foster student independence and participation Maintain accurate records and progress documentation in compliance with school and state requirements Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to multidisciplinary teams This contract offers an opportunity to work the school calendar year, making a genuine difference in the lives of children while maintaining work-life balance.
