Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the school community by providing essential physical therapy services to students for the remainder of the academic year. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and running through the end of the school year. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, delivering care that supports student success and well-being.
Key Skills and Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and their implementation Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and maintain detailed documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs Assess and evaluate students' motor skills and develop treatment plans to address identified needs Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support students' educational goals Maintain accurate records and progress notes on all interventions and outcomes Contribute as a member of the IEP team, participating in goal-setting and review meetings Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to improve students' functional abilities This position invites you to build meaningful relationships, support students' growth, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
