Full Job Description Role Overview:

A physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury. Services are provided across the continuum, focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Treatment Planning & Care:

Implements treatment plans, selects appropriate activities, revises goals with patient input, provides education, discharge instructions, and referrals.

Patient Assessment:

Collaborates with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans, ensuring patient and family involvement.

Documentation:

Records evaluations, treatment sessions, education, and discharge details per departmental guidelines.

Professional Conduct & Customer Service:

Upholds ethical standards, maintains confidentiality, communicates effectively, fosters teamwork, and promotes a positive environment.

Development & Compliance:

Participates in ongoing education, completes required competencies, and adheres to organizational policies and infection control protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Licensure as a Physical Therapist and BLS certification. Effective communication, customer service, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
