Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pediatric Physical Therapist, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. In this vital role, you will assess, develop, and implement tailored treatment plans to promote optimal physical functioning and independence for pediatric patients. Your energy and dedication will help foster a positive healing environment, supporting children in our unique model of community-based care. This position offers the opportunity to create your own schedule, have flexibility in amount of clients on your caseload, and help a variety of children. Our PT sessions are held in homes and daycares, on playgrounds, and in other natural environments. We are also VERY interested in offering physical therapy sessions in an aquatic setting if the right candidate comes along with a shared interest. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients to determine their physical therapy needs, including evaluating mobility, strength, coordination, and developmental milestones. Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical best practices and patient goals. Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving motor skills, enhancing mobility, and supporting overall development in children. Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to clinical documentation standards. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, orthotists, and DME specialists to make sure all of the client's needs are met. Educate patients' families on home exercise programs, community resources, and ongoing care needs to ensure continuity beyond clinical settings. Participate in discharge planning by assessing patient readiness for transition from physical therapy to traditional children's sports or activities when possible. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist in Georgia 2 years or more experience in pediatrics preferred Demonstrated practice in a physical therapy role within outpatient clinics or home health environments. Experience working with diverse patient populations including children with neurological conditions or orthopedic needs. Proficiency in clinical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems). Ability to develop effective treatment plans based on thorough assessments and current physiotherapy practices. Excellent client communication skills to effectively educate families and collaborate with healthcare teams. Timeliness in documentation in prior job settings. Knowledge of home & community care practices will enhance your impact in this role. Pay:
From $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 40.0 per week
