Job Description
Role:
The physical therapist evaluates and develops rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformity in patients with injuries or diseases. Services are delivered across the continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment:
Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies, incorporating patient and family input.Treatment Planning and Care:
Implement therapy plans, select appropriate treatments, adjust goals as needed, and provide patient education, follow-up, and community referrals.Documentation:
Record evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge instructions in accordance with departmental protocols.Professional Conduct:
Uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, punctuality, and dress code, communicate effectively, attend meetings, and ensure safe, efficient use of materials and equipment.Customer Service & Teamwork:
Deliver respectful, compassionate care, foster teamwork, and demonstrate service recovery principles.Professional Development:
Engage in ongoing education, complete required competencies, participate in orientation, and adhere to mandatory training requirements.Requirements:
Masters in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred) Licensure as a Physical Therapist and BLS certification Minimum one year of experience in rehab, acute care, or SNF settings Effective communication, customer service focus, team orientation, and basic computer skillsAdditional Duties:
