Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity as a school-based physical therapist in a supportive and collaborative environment, conveniently located near Arlington Heights, IL. This contract position is designed for experienced professionals who thrive on helping students succeed and appreciate a work setting where professional development, teamwork, and communication are at the forefront.
Your orientation is thoughtfully structured:
get acclimated on August 3 and 4, with students starting on August 7, 2026. The role runs through May 20, 2027, and offers a balanced schedule of 2 onsite days each week, totaling 15 hours.
Key Qualifications:
Licensure as a Physical Therapist with credentials suitable for school settings Prior experience in school-based PT or similar pediatric therapy environments Strong communication and collaboration skills with a passion for student-centered care Adaptability and problem-solving abilities in dynamic educational settings
What You'll Do:
Provide evidence-based direct and consultative PT services for students, collaborating with teachers and support staff to promote access and achievement Utilize available equipment and standardized testing materials for assessments and interventions Participate in a thorough orientation, supported by a "Buddy Program" to guide you through the onboarding process Engage in monthly team and roundtable meetings to foster peer communication and professional growth Contribute to process improvement initiatives and participate in performance reviews to continually enhance your skills and service delivery
