Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and current Physical Therapist (PT) license Previous experience working in schools or pediatric healthcare environments is highly preferred Thorough understanding of IEPs, 504 plans, and special education processes Strong communication and documentation abilities Comfort adapting therapeutic strategies to meet a range of abilities and ages Dedication to continual development and teamwork
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' physical and functional abilities to determine eligibility for services Develop and implement custom treatment plans in partnership with multidisciplinary teams and families Deliver direct therapy services, both individually and in small groups, to help students develop mobility, coordination, and functional skills Participate in IEP meetings and provide detailed progress reports to stakeholders Educate staff and caregivers on best practices for supporting students' physical well-being in the classroom Maintain organized and compliant documentation in line with school standards and regulations
