Position Overview We are urgently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Overlake Joints and Bones Medical Clinic in Decatur, Illinois. This full-time position involves providing exceptional care to patients in an orthopedic outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will focus on enhancing patients' mobility and overall functionality, positively influencing their quality of life through tailored rehabilitation programs. Our clinic features a state-of-the-art 5,000 square feet sports medicine facility designed to foster recovery, rehabilitation, and wellness. Our team of healthcare professionals is committed to delivering personalized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. Work Environment This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Decatur, where you will work alongside a dynamic team of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). You will primarily work a weekday schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for work-life balance. This full-time role also includes a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs and develop tailored rehabilitation plans. Implement a variety of treatment techniques aimed at improving patients' mobility and functional skills. Maintain a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused attention and high-quality care. Utilize evidence-based practices to inform treatment decisions and continually monitor patient progress. Document all services and treatments provided, ensuring thorough and accurate records are maintained. Collaborate actively with healthcare professionals within the clinic to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. Motivate patients throughout their recovery journey, addressing barriers to progress and encouraging adherence to treatment plans. Provide education on preventative measures and healthy lifestyle choices, enhancing overall patient wellness. Evaluate treatment efficacy regularly, adjusting plans based on patient feedback and progress. Leverage your expertise to minimize reliance on medications by integrating non-surgical alternatives into treatment strategies. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on patients with orthopedic conditions, primarily sourced from individuals with private medical insurance. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient demographic, each requiring personalized attention and care strategies to regain strength, mobility, and independence following surgical procedures or injury. Qualifications A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution. Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Decatur, IL, without any board actions or disciplinary history. Strong manual therapy skills and the ability to develop effective exercise routines tailored to individual patient needs. Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT, to track patient treatment and progress. Preferred Experience Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy is highly desirable. Proficiency in developing customized fitness and wellness programs that meet the specific requirements of patients.
