Position Overview Locomotion Restore Physical Therapist Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our exceptional team in Joliet, Illinois. Our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped to provide specialized orthopedic outpatient therapy. We believe in a collaborative approach, working closely with our team of professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients, who primarily come to us with private medical insurance. Work Environment The role is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Joliet, Illinois, where you will work closely with a dynamic team comprising two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Your work week will follow a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic. Given the high demand for orthopedic treatments, you will be immersed in a fast-paced yet rewarding context that allows you to make a significant impact in the lives of your patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations to understand the unique goals and needs of each patient, creating tailored treatment plans based on their specific orthopedic conditions. Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring personalized and focused care during each session. Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver cost-effective treatment options aimed at enhancing patient mobility while minimizing dependence on medications. Incorporate a variety of physical treatment techniques and therapeutic tools, including manual therapy and exercise-based interventions, to facilitate recovery. Continuously monitor and assess patients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans and documenting all care provided using our electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT. Promote healthy lifestyle choices by educating patients about wellness practices, including strength training, flexibility exercises, balance improvement, and coordination techniques. Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal treatment strategies, enhancing the overall healthcare experience. Motivate and encourage patients through their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and empowering environment that inspires them to reach their goals. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will work predominantly with adult patients who require orthopedic outpatient care. Our clientele is diverse, often seeking rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their movement. By focusing on individualized care and recovery strategies, you will help patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through dedicated therapy. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Illinois, with no recorded disciplinary actions. Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in creating and implementing effective exercise programs tailored to individual needs. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for maintaining accurate patient documentation and treatment tracking. Preferred Experience Prior work experience as a physical therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable. Experience in developing innovative therapy programs that improve patient outcomes and enhance engagement in their recovery process. Compensation and Benefits The anticipated salary range for this position is between USD 90,000 and 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
