This role offers the flexibility of both full-time and part-time consideration, with an immediate start and assignment running through early June 2027. What were looking for:
Current MPT or DPT degree, with an active Illinois Physical Therapy License Experience or genuine interest in school-based physical therapy practice Ability to manage a varied caseload of approximately 35-45 students across self-contained and general education programs Willingness to travel between several campuses serving elementary through transition-age students Strong evaluation and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to tailor plans to individual student needs Excellent written documentation abilities Comfortable collaborating with a wider educational team, including teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and nurses Your responsibilities will include: Conducting assessments and designing physical therapy interventions for students Delivering direct and consultative PT services as outlined in IEPs Training staff and students in the use of mobility and positioning equipment Communicating student progress and updating goals through comprehensive written reports Actively engaging as a valued member of the multidisciplinary team Enjoy working a Monday-Friday schedule within traditional school hours (start times between 7:30 and 8:30am), and experience the professional satisfaction that comes from fostering independence and growth in young learners.
