Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an opportunity designed for a skilled Physical Therapist interested in making a meaningful difference in the lives of students. This contract, part-time position provides a unique chance to collaborate with school teams dedicated to supporting student growth and development. Located within a caring school environment near South Holland and Orland Park, IL, you'll work approximately 16-21 hours per week.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Illinois Prior experience in school settings strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and pediatric therapy protocols Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Evaluate and assess student needs, creating engaging therapy plans targeted to each student's goals Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote student progress and generalization of skills Document session notes, progress reports, and collaborate on IEP reviews and updates Consult with staff on strategies to adapt classroom activities, ensuring accessibility and participation for all students
