Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students in a vibrant educational environment near Orland Park, IL. Your expertise will be valued across several buildings, where individual attention and consistency play a vital role in student progress. You'll provide direct and consultative PT services to students with a range of needs. The school director is eager to welcome a dedicated PT for 3-4 days per week to ensure students receive high-quality therapeutic support. Each building offers a dynamic caseload, fostering your skills in individualized care and collaborative problem-solving. What you'll bring: Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois. Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred. Confidence in providing both direct and consultative PT services. Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and care teams. Ability to develop and adapt IEP-based interventions for students with diverse needs. Commitment to fostering student independence and classroom engagement.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver weekly PT services, ranging from 7.5 to 60 minutes per student in Building 1. Provide direct care for 4 students and consultative services for 3 students in Building 2. Support approximately 5-6 students within a cooperative program in Building 3, focusing on individualized IEP therapy. Accurately document student progress and participate in IEP meetings. Advise staff and caregivers on strategies for student success. Travel locally between schools as required.
