Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role supporting students as a school-based Physical Therapist in the Palatine, IL area! This contract, onsite position starts with orientation on August 3 and 4, 2026, with students arriving August 7 and concludes May 20, 2027. Enjoy a part-time schedule, working two days per week (15 hours total), giving you both the reward of student impact and the flexibility for work-life balance.
Qualifications/Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Illinois Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy settings preferred Able to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practices
Responsibilities:
Deliver PT services to students as part of their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support student development Complete required documentation accurately and timely Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Stay current on best practices in school-based therapy
