9620952-60586 Job Description Step into an engaging contract opportunity near Plainfield, IL, where your expertise as a Physical Therapist can make a real difference in the lives of students. This assignment is scheduled for a short-term leave from August 17 through November 4 and involves working onsite with a diverse caseload, placing particular emphasis on Transition-aged students (2022 years old) alongside mixed grade levels. Your primary focus will be providing educationally related physical therapy services, supporting special education students in developing or compensating for challenges with gross motor skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Illinois Physical Therapist License is required Pediatric physical therapy experience Prior experience providing therapy within a school setting Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Enthusiasm for supporting students with varying developmental needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services that align with each students IEP goals Assess student needs, design interventions, and track progress in gross motor function Consult and collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive environments for students Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements Support students educational access by addressing physical barriers and fostering independence This rewarding, onsite contract offers 37.5 hours per week and the chance to enhance the learning experiences and functional abilities of students during a vital transition period.
