Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' physical development across several schools in the Romeoville and Bolingbrook area. As a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll work in-person with a diverse caseload ranging from elementary to transition programs. This role begins August 24, 2026, and continues through June 7, 2027, with full-time hours preferred (37.5 hours weekly) but part-time candidates are also welcome to apply. Your day will start between 7:30 and 8:30am, with varying end times depending on school schedules. Ideal candidates bring a passion for helping students improve their physical independence and participation. You will manage a caseload of approximately 35-45 students, providing both direct and consultative physical therapy services in self-contained and general education settings.
Qualifications:
Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy Active Illinois Physical Therapy License School-based or pediatric experience preferred Ability to travel between multiple school locations Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans Provide physical therapy treatment sessions and consultative support Train staff and students in use of positioning and mobility equipment Maintain detailed daily documentation, progress reports, and goal updates Collaborate regularly with teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and nurses to support student success You'll find fulfillment in making a daily impact and building relationships across your assigned schools.
