Springfield, IL Pay Range:
$60-$70/hour
ABOUT HOPE LEARNING ACADEMY
Hope is a clinical, educational, and therapeutic provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. We exist to help children and their families reach their maximum potential by providing state-of-the-art applied behavioral analysis therapies and access to recreation, vocational training, and individualized education programming. Our mission is to provide the best services in the most inclusive environments to encourage persons to fulfill their individual potential through evidence-based treatment, advocacy, and community education. Since 1957, the Hope Learning Academy has led the development of new methods to educate, treat, and care for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. SUMMARY Hope Learning Academy's Physical Therapists provide and oversee school-based physical therapy treatments to assist clients to attain, improve, or maintain their maximum level of functional movement.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Assess individuals performance and implement treatment based on established goals to restore physical function and mobility, as well as promote overall wellness and boost quality of life. Serve, communicate, and consult as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Maintain detailed records and compile written progress reports and treatment plans, as needed. Provide guidance and training in appropriate body mechanics and range of motion activities to parents/guardians, teachers, and/or caretakers. Schedule and monitor rehabilitation services, ensuring rehabilitation evaluations are completed in a timely manner. Participate in ongoing treatment meetings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Illinois licensure as a board-certified physical therapist. Must pass the national physical therapy exam. Hope is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
