Job Description

Overview Evaluates and treats patients of all ages who suffered loss of upper, lower extremities function, balance, coordination, endurance, or present with pain, or wounds/burns due to illnesses, trauma, or surgery. This position creates a treatment plan based on assessment findings and works with patients and families to achieve the highest possible level of independence. Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(•Essential Functions) Designs and implements treatment plans based on assessment findings. Documents assessments and interventions accurately and timely. Educates patients and family members. Evaluates patients muscle strength, ROM, endurance, balance, pain, skin integrity and overall function level. Participates in multi-disciplinary meetings and case reviews. Supervises PT and PTA students as needed. Supervises PTA and Aides as needed. Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Demonstrates proficiency in oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills. Demonstrates flexibility in order to meet unanticipated demands and priorities. Knowledgable in the principles of growth and development over life span. Possess skills to work with patients of all ages from infant to geriatric. Ability to perform work safely at all times adhering to the safety policies and procedures as well as the National Patient Safety Goals. Ability to perform all duties in a courteous and kind manner placing the patients and families needs first. Ability to assist other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.
EDUCATION
Bachelors Physical Therapy Required 1 Healthcare/Medical - Physical Therapy Preferred Licensed Physical Therapist Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
