Qualifications:

Master's degree in Physical Therapy is required Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Physical Therapy Experience in pediatric physical therapy, particularly in a school environment, is highly desirable Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, teachers, and colleagues Flexibility and adaptability to work within a school schedule and environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments to develop and implement treatment plans for students requiring physical therapy services Work closely with special education and multidisciplinary teams to meet each students needs and goals Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings as required Educate and support teachers and staff on strategies to aid student progress in the classroom Provide guidance and training to families for carryover of therapy techniques at home
