Prepare treatment areas, set up equipment, and maintain cleanliness to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety. Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, document observations accurately, and communicate updates to the healthcare team. Help with patient intake procedures, including gathering medical histories and explaining therapy processes clearly. Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with healthcare regulations. Support hospital or clinic staff by managing equipment inventory, sterilization procedures, and adhering to safety protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and rehabilitation care. Proven experience practicing in a physical therapy role within hospital or outpatient settings, including inpatient or outpatient clinics. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically. Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods, manual handling techniques, and heavy lifting when necessary. Familiarity with CPR certification and acute care practices to respond effectively in emergency situations. Experience working in hospital medicine or sub-acute care environments such as geriatrics or orthopedics. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality diligently while managing intake processes and documentation.
