Performance Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct physical therapy services in accordance with individualized educational plans or established 504 Plans.
  • Conducts physical therapy evaluations and/or observations and writes comprehensive reports on referred students.
  • Interprets physical therapy test results and makes recommendations on how best to meet the educational needs of a student to school personnel, other concerned professionals, parents and, as appropriate, the students.
  • Participates in case conferences, special education team meetings, and faculty meetings on a before or after school basis when assigned.
  • Provides consultation services to the school administration, faculty, staff, and parents on matters of pertaining to physical therapy.
  • Identifies pupil needs and works with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
  • Communicate with parents and school personnel on the progress of pupils receiving physical therapy services.
  • Directs and supervises special education paraprofessionals in special education and general education settings as assigned.
Salary Range:
$21,213.20 - $39,654.80 based on the Unit A Collective Bargaining Agreement, in accord with degree status and teaching experience.
