Job Description

Take the next step in your school-based physical therapy career by providing essential PT services within a supportive educational environment near Lowell, MA. This rewarding contract opportunity allows you to work onsite one day per week throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. This position is perfect for an experienced PT with a passion for helping students reach their fullest potential through tailored therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Hold an active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Massachusetts Additional Massachusetts educational certifications may be required Previous experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations strongly preferred Excellent collaboration skills for working alongside educators, families, and related service providers Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet diverse student needs within the school environment Effective communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality physical therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Assess, plan, and implement therapeutic programs designed to enhance students mobility, independence, and participation in school activities Maintain clear, accurate documentation and progress reports Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support each students goals and educational success Foster a positive, inclusive environment that prioritizes student well-being and achievement This contract position runs from September 1st, 2026 through June 14th, 2027, onsite in a well-resourced school community one day per week.
