Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on students' development by providing expert physical therapy services in a school-based setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work just one day per week, totaling 7.5 hours, supporting students' physical abilities and academic success. Ideal candidates are passionate about pediatric physical therapy and comfortable collaborating with educational staff and families. You'll have a direct hand in shaping IEP goals and monitoring progress to help each student achieve their highest potential.
Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred Solid understanding of developing and implementing IEP goals Skilled in comprehensive report writing and detailed documentation Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Adaptable and collaborative approach
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations and reassessments of students as required Develop, update, and help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student on your caseload Provide direct physical therapy sessions, tailoring interventions to meet specific student needs Document sessions and progress, writing clear, insightful reports for ongoing team use Collaborate closely with teachers, other therapists, and families to coordinate care and share strategies Attend IEP meetings, offering your expertise to support holistic student development Enjoy a contract position with reliable, predictable hours—just 7.5 hours each week—allowing for a healthy work-life balance or the opportunity to complement other professional commitments.
