Job Description
Pappas OPT in Providence, RI is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team. In this role, you will evaluate and treat a diverse caseload using evidence-based practices, develop individualized care plans, and educate patients to support long-term recovery and improved quality of life. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for outpatient patients with orthopedic, post-surgical, sports, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based plans of care aligned with patient goals and functional needs. Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, gait and balance training, and functional activities to restore movement and function. Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and long-term self-management strategies. Document evaluations, daily treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system. Monitor and reassess patient progress, adjusting interventions and goals based on clinical findings and patient response. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and referring providers to coordinate and optimize patient care. Maintain a safe clinical environment, adhering to all safety, infection control, and professional practice standards. Participate in professional development, mentorship, and continuous learning activities supported by Pappas OTP. Contribute positively to a supportive, team-oriented clinic culture focused on patient-centered care and quality outcomes.
