Job Description
Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be dedicated to supporting the physical development and recovery of young children, providing tailored interventions that promote optimal health and functionality. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care tailored to the unique needs of each child and family we support. Responsibilities Assess the physical condition of patients to diagnose problems and plan appropriate treatments. Develop treatment plans using exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them increase their mobility. Consult with family members to keep them informed of the child's progress and needs. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as pediatricians, nurses, and occupational therapists to develop comprehensive intervention strategies that address the full spectrum of the child's needs. Document patient care and progress, maintaining accurate and confidential patient records. Educate families and caregivers on home exercise plans and other therapeutic routines. Continuously update professional knowledge and expertise through ongoing education and professional development opportunities. Required Skills Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, theories, methods in their application, and the ability to conduct assessments and interpret findings. Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for effective communication and motivational techniques tailored to young children and their families. Ability to manage time effectively and coordinate activities with other professionals.
