Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with diverse K-12 students during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. This role is perfect for a passionate Physical Therapist ready to make a substantial impact in a collaborative school setting. You'll engage with students from July 6, 2025, through August 7, 2025—supporting their growth and functional mobility while working alongside dedicated educational professionals.
Key Qualifications:
Active license as a Physical Therapist Experience providing PT services within school environments or with pediatric populations Familiarity with IEP-driven therapy planning and implementation Safe Care Certification preferred for ensuring holistic student support Effective communication and organization skills to work with multidisciplinary teams Adaptability and creativity when developing individualized strategies for student progress
Responsibilities:
Deliver 30 hours of therapy per week, Monday through Friday, across varied grade levels (K-12) Assess, design, and document individualized PT interventions within the ESY framework Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, and school administrators to integrate therapy with learning goals Educate staff and families on strategies to support student progress and safety both in and out of the classroom Maintain secure, accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Foster a supportive, positive, and inclusive therapy environment that encourages student participation and growth Whether you're an experienced school-based PT or eager to expand your skills in a new educational setting, this position offers valuable summer experience in a vibrant community.
