Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Experience a rewarding summer opportunity as a physical therapist with a contract position supporting students ages 4 to 22 during the Extended School Year program. This role is ideal for those passionate about empowering students to reach their full potential in a positive school environment. The position runs from July 6th to August 6th, offering a flexible part-time schedule of 2-3 days a week (Monday through Thursday), with guaranteed three-hour shifts each day—perfect for maintaining work-life balance while making a true impact.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based physical therapy
  • Ability to work comfortably with diverse student populations, including children, adolescents, and young adults
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Assess students' functional levels and identify needs
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Document sessions and progress notes accurately and timely
  • Adapt interventions and activities to meet varying physical abilities and developmental stages
  • Support students' participation in classroom and group settings
